Idles and Runs Fine in Nuetral But.....

I recently gave my 94' DX to my little brother. It has about 130K miles on it. Great car! Loved it so much I bought two 2002 Ex's, one for my wife and and one for me. Anyway, my brother tells me that the car seems to lose power and dies when he drives it. It idles fine and runs fine at higher rpm's for long periods in nuetral. However, when he takes it on the road, it boggs down. I replaced the fuel filter before giving it to him. He checked the plugs and they looked fine. We both worked on our cars growing up but neither one of us know much about ECU + sensors. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

is it an auto, or a 5spd?

if its a 5spd, you might want to check for a dirty air filter, or clogged injectors. also check your timing. :)

Thanks for your time fst323. It has a manual transmission. We are going to pull it into the garage today and take a serious look. If it has an obstructed fuel injector, is it possible for this condition to manifest only when the engine is under load? My gut feeling is that something is wrong with the ECU or sensors. I looked through my Haynes manual and found how to check fault codes last night. I will start with your suggestions and then see what the PCM can tell me. Thanks Again.

it is possible to run like shit only under loads, but most likely not. sounds like you may have some other issues. do check those codes and let us know what you find out. :)
