I need some tips!

hey!
I can't figure out how to remove my damn fuel filter lol :(

I removed the two rusted screws from the firewall, now the bottle is loose but I can't unplug the 2 hoses, I pull the OUT hose and it doesn't come, and the IN hose ... well... I can't even reach it, (maybe from under the car would be easier ?) I think this thing was never changed... Protege '90 .....

anyway, each and every tips are very welcome
Thanks

uhhhh no. The fuel filter is mounted on the firewall. You are probably thinking of the fuel pump.

Try removing the battery so you can have more room to work. The hoses should come off eventually.:)
