Emergency engine question

sup everybody.

my engine just blew something somewhere and i'm going to get some work done, but if it's going to be more expensive than just getting a new engine and dropping it in then i'm going with the bpt. my question is:

1. does the wiring harness match for the bpt from the sohc?
2. how much and where can i get an ecu for the bpt?
3. what from my engine now will bolt on to the bpt? what doesn't?

just asking cause if i'm going to get $1000 dollars worth of work done or whatever, it might as well be to get a new engine instead of to get something fixed.

thanks guys. later

1. no, you need the GTX harness, you could probably get away with a DOHC harness and will have to get creative if you re-use the SOHC harness.
2. Not sure exactly what price, but Braden (turboge) on this list can get you all you need, engine, harness and ECU, you'll also want a new tranny. Oh and also a B code RX7 VAF. You could get away with using a DOHC ECU, but will need some extra add-ons to trick it.
3. throttle body, distributor, alternator(?) maybe a few more, but not much.

so you may see a a much lesser repair price, than a swap price. but no match in the power department :D

GTX Motor $750
GTX Ecu/Harness/VAF $500
Shipping to east coast $275
Shipping to West coast $175

This will drop in and run, I would recommend a fuel pump upgrade, along with a clutch and tranny/flywheel, intercooler...etc....
