Originally posted by Davard All you need is to get the smog equipment from a '94 or newer Protege DOHC. If you want to go V-6, then you need parts from a '94 or newer MX-6 or 626. Iif doing a KL-ZE swap, and go to a referee station. As long as you have a good cat, a KL-ZE should pass smog, even in CA (since JDM emissions laws are fairly close to US laws). hey mike, i'm on my way up to a-spec right now. meet me there in about 24 hours. is it cool if i crash at your place while i wait for them to finish up my car? |
My suggestion is turbo. It can be made to go faster cheaper and easier. Much higher HP possibilities with a restricted budget.
ITZKCATZ: I swapped a BP05 DOHC head onto a BP01 bottom end. Cone filter (held on with duct tape right now, but it works), 2.5" cat-back kink-bent exhaust, weak clutch and I ran that time on 17's. I don't know where it said my car was a stock DX, though... It's not a DX and it's really not very stock... SCiMMiA24: I live in the West Island, you? J' habite au West Island, toi? |
