Cheap way to help the sway bar from stop moving?
 

I need help my sway bar is loose on the drivers side and I dont know what to do. Im thinking about putting a piece of rubber around the head of the swaybar so it doesnt move anymore? Is that a good idea? What is the swaybar for anyways? If that is not a good idea could someone tell me what i should do for a cheap way then going to pay 250 for a new one, the dude said the bushing are loose on one side....

i dunno if its the same thing, but what happened to me once was the bolt, that holds the sway bar to the bushing to the car, broke, so i just put a new bolt through and a locknut on the end and its held up great.

See the thing is that its the bushing in the middle of the sway bar that is loose not the ends that is why i was say what if a piece of rubber that goes around the end of the sway bar on the drivers side that is the loose side and then it would move that is what im thinking i might be wrong dont know

Get a set of suspension techniques sway bar bushings. It comes with new bolts and washers and of course bushings. They stiffen up it a little also which is good for handling. Kit is about 30 bucks at zxtuner.com

which one on that site will tighten my drivers side sway bar??? Would they be hard to install? AT one place they said it will cost me 250 to fix the sway bar but it is only loose on the driver side not bad but i want to fix before it gets bad. I was thinking on buying a big piece of rubber and round it out and cut a hole in the middle of it and then a slit up and then put it around the sway bar on the drivers side so the bar dont move anymore? YOu think that will work better???Tell me what to do

Call them up and ask what set, i cant rember which one i bought. Its alot better than taking a piece of rubber like what your talking about. Its not really gonna get really that "bad." I drove around for 3 months with no rear sway bar, it wasnt the best, but I got through it. It might cost 250 if your bar is bent or somthing similer, but tis only 30 bucks plus about 1 hour of wrencing to put on new bushings.

Get the last 2. I think the front sway bar mounts that they give you are way too small and need to be drilled out to fit. I jsut said f-it cause its a PITA to get the mounts off the front, but the end links are easy to put on. The rear is real easy as well.

Ok so what im looking for is to get a 4 set of bushing for the front only or what else do i need to look for to stop the movin the in sway bar? If i do just get the bushings for the front should i get them for the back too? Im confuse about what to get sorry im sorry i never had to deal with bushing ever on my pro... if you could could you send me everything on what i should get.....and one more thing how many bushing are there on the right and left side on the front sway bar and how many in the rear. If i do my front should i do my rear tooo or what.....

Alrighty, its not too hard to do this. Get the set for the front and back. The set comes with 2 bushings per side, and the bushing mounts. Also there will be 2 bolts and nuts with the nessesary washers. All you gotta do is unbolt what you have on the car, and replace whats in the kit, same for the back. Like I said, i "think" the front sway bar mount is too small and you might want to drill it out to make it fit, but what i did was just leave it alone, its a pain to get the mount off. Now what are you talking about movement in the sway bar??? Its gotta be the bushings. If you are unsure, just get the kit and take it to a shop, they could do it for you quick. Lemmie know if you need mroe help.

naw man i just did both sides it ride like a dream thanks alot man ....I got both sides for 11 dollars at this part store by my house... There is no more loose sway bar.... Thanks again....
