centerforce clutch

ok...like in october, my clutch went out, so i went to some reputable transmission place and had it replaced...the oem clutc was 210 dollars, and already its slipping, and sux nutz. From the start, it had to light of a feel, and its holding power was marginal at best. I am currently looking at a centerforce stage two http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...20Kit&vaffid=0 -copy/paste that link-is this a good choice? will i benifit?

go for a nice centerforce clutch, it's the best one on the market. but hey, if you want to go with a centerforce one, that's cool. i have the centerforce dual friction one, and i like it. whatever works for you.

i've heard the same things about centerforce clutches. It was suggested to me to look into ACT, much better.

I'll second that... I've heard the same rumors, there are quite a few people running on ACT clutches, and they seem to be the most popular for the turboed applications.

it's a funny thing ...
centerforce works for honda's -- but not mazda's
Act works for mazda's --- but not honda's ...

It's all to weird the things I "hear" ...

www.corksport.com has the ACT as well as the Centerforce

I checked the price with CS on a ACT,,,
1.8 BP 96 = 300 bucks ....

so you may pay about the same ,

centerforce is only gonna be 'bout 200 bux...and im on a budget lol

limpgtx June-28th-2003 07:35 PM

but in your sig you say you have a bpt swap, your gonna have to spend more money on replacing the centerforces.

Liquid_Ag June-30th-2003 10:43 PM

hey, the bpt swap is coming, i dont have it yet

THEGOLDPRO July-1st-2003 01:08 AM

centerforce blows ass. ACT ownes. i will never turn away from ACT

bob1014 July-1st-2003 01:44 AM

i'ld go with ACT if you're gonna do a BPT swap in the future, it may cost more, but I know I'ld rather buy one good clutch now then have to buy another one a few months after you do the BPT swap.

amen, do it right man. why go cheap on something so important in your car.

Liquid_Ag July-1st-2003 12:29 PM
