91' LX -->> something is slipping

This one is driving me nuts:
- in 1st gear, everything is fine
- then shift to 2nd gear apply gas
my RPMs climb but the car doesn't pick up any speed for about 5 seconds, and then is slowly picks up. If i lay off the gas when that happens and then slowly apply gas, it seems fine but if i punch it it does the lag thing again
any ideas?
i had all this punch, but now it is gone
help!!!!

hmm, that doesnt sound good, my automatic even when shifted manual never has done that, the only thing i could think of is maybe it doesnt fully go into gear if you punch it but if you slowly apply it has enought time to get in gear, possibly slipping clutch?

Exedy. They're good shit and you can get them on Ebay cheap.

How cheap? I'm looking for a 4 puck, sprung clutch, and a lightened flywheel.

Just get a decent factory clutch or a act stage 2 . You dont need a 4 puk
