2002 miata engine in a 93' 323

Like the topic says.

Can it be done with a little costum work?

Your input is important, please reply with your suggestions.

This is my only option since I have found the engine with 8000km on it for $150.

Thanks for any help provided.

Mehdi

it can if you get the ecu and harness(maybe more)
or just put the engine in and run a standalone
ohh and you need a custom intake manifold cause on the 99+ miatas the have a new head with a different bolt patteren on the intake side but the exhaust side stayed the same

Change of plans. I went to pick up the engine today and found out it has a bad rod bearing. And other headaches.

I'm just gonna find a miata.

Thanks
Mehdi

I notice you're from ottawa, Perhaps we could meet halfway on the highway or something, I CAN do this but it will have to be around christmas time (gift money:D).

EDIT: what is the condition of this engine?? Was it from a wrecked car??

Scare Dem November-25th-2003 06:22 PM

eThe engin is from a new miata from the dealership.

The 2002 were defective and had bad rod bearing.

Give me an offer. B/c if it's not worth it, I can't do it.

Thanks guys.

Mehdi

P.S. you can email me at mx6scaredem@hotmail.com if you want.

I believe the cam timing was adjusted hydraulically and it wasn't an extra set of lobes like in the honda Vtec.

EDIT:
You wer right, I can't use the cams out of it. I need the variable valve control crap for it.
