1.8 DOHC will not idle after swap, help!

I have an idle problem. I just swapped a BP into my Festiva. I got the BP from a wrecked Mercury Tracer so I never heard it run. I fired it up last night for the 1st time and it will not idle and is running rich. It has new plugs and the exhaust is the stock manifold and the down pipe only, no cat or muffler. When it is running I press on the gas and when I let off it wants to stall, I can keep it running.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Matt

I am doing the same swap at the moment in my '88 323. Are you using the Tracer ECU?

Yes I used the Tracer ECU. Check out my cardomain site page #3 to see how I wired everything.

Its fixed!!!! I found a post on the 323 forum on how to check the VAF resistance at the conector. It didn't match what they required so I put my festiva box on and it ran and idled.
