Hwy 9 Fun Run!
SILICON VALLY/NORCAL/CENTRAL CAL PROTEGES
WHERE: Summit of HWY 9
WHEN: Wed, Mar 28th at 6pm.
S/Cp5someday, mtbjedi and I have been talking about meeting up at the Summit of HWY 9 on this wednesday, May 28. I know it's short notice, but we ain't planning anything special, just gonna hang out a bit, then go for a "brisk" drive down HWY 9. Maybe into Santa Cruz, maybe into Saratoga...hell, maybe both!
Who know's?
If there's enough positive response to this invitation, maybe we can do this on a regular basis, like every other weekend or something.
Anyway, if you're not too busy, and you're interested in hanging out with some fellow forum members/Protege junkies, come on up! It's a fun drive, and it's beautiful up there, under the redwoods!
SUMMIT OF HWY 9
From Saratoga, follow HWY 9 south all the way to where it intersects with SKYLINE BLVD and HYW 35. It's a four way stop at the summit of the hill. Look for the big (well, medium-sized)parking lot.
From Santa cruz, do the same except go north!
...Sorry, I'm burnt, and this is the only map I could come up with.

This club is classic. At protege5.com there's six pages of replies. This was the first of many HWY 9 drives hopefully.
Oh well. I'm sure nobody gives a ****, but here's a pic of our meet. What a beautiful day! You should have been there.

We're gonna go for another drive on Wed the 4th of june. So far there's four or five of us. If anybody at all wants to come along and meet some fellow Protege owners, Post here or meet us at the summit at 2:30.

I think there are a lot more NorCal people on p5.com. That site isn't really useful to me though, my car doesn't apply. The problem is too I usually decide at last minute to head up north. I was gonna this week but I realize I have a doctor's appt. on Friday

We had a fun time on the 28th, so we're gonna do it again on the 4th.
Any time your around the Bay area, gimme a pm or something and we can hook-up and go for a cruise! We've been meeting up every week or so.
You're right about the other club. I guess I never thought of that. They do have first-gen forum but it's pretty small, there's only like 20 posts on there.

Did you guys go down to Vista Point on Hwy 35 towards SF? There's a very nice view to take pics of cars against
