$195 to $200 is the going price at every dealer....

its a snap to install...there are only two bolts and the two hanger rods

its a bit louder than stock...but not a lot.....

I have one. I like it. I had went through 3 different mufflers trinng to find one that sounded good. I bought mine from the Dealer for 189.00 us. if you want go to mazdastuff.com and they have it. Make sure you get the one for the p5.

Hey irish6714, I notice that you had a custom set up made to go with your Mazdaspeed exhaust. What size pipe did you use. Did you get any power gains? Did you just junk the resonator?

gcs118 is right. I love my Mazdaspeed exhaust.
Here's a pic:

If I was to do it over again, I'd consider a Racing Beat cat-back, but thr RB is like twice as much $, and the Mazdaspeed sounds mighty sweet.

I like mine. Ive had it for about a month now. It was $220 from the dealership plus installation. But, looking at it now it would be very simple to install yourself.

I want to say its 2 1/2. I had it done at a muffler shop here where I live. Its not stainless steel, but it works and its alot cheeper. Yes the res is gone. Power wise......I have noticed it pulls a little harder, but that does not = much hp. I love the sound. Its not to loud ( ie Fart pipe). It has a deep sound, when you step on the gas it gets very noticable. I love it and will recomend it. If you do get it, try .mazda stuff You will find the price to be about 195 usd. Print that page and goto your dealer and ask for it at the parts dept, and ask them to beat the price. I did that and they gave it to me for 10 dollars less and gave me overnight shipping for the price of ground shipping. It is very easy to install, I would recomend that you get some wd40 to help remove the muffler hangers.

also the part number is 0000-8m-c10

got the mazdaspeed axel back today and did the install!!!! my wife had called a muffler shop while i was out picking up the parts and they quoted her $60 for the install. it was so simple 2 14mm bolts 2 hangars, and about 15 min of work (no cussing and no blody knuckles). by the way it sounds sweet. not too loud at idle but a nice deep tone above 3000rpm. thanks for the help and advise. now the next question where can i get a mid pipe to go with it??
