2012 Mazda 3 excessive reving?

2012 Mazda 3 excessive reving?
I read old posts about this problem but most address a cold engine. Mine has begun to rev at stops way after warming up. It doesn't try to push the car but the rev jumps up past 2000 rpm. Ideas?
