No Heat

Hi Guys,

Any ideas, 1990 mazda 323, NO HEAT, temperature gauge shows half way between hot and cold when driving, when I grab the hoses going into the firewall for the heater core, both of them are cold. Originally I thought heater core was plugged, but with both sides being cold and the engine good and warmed up, I don't know what to think. Thanks for any ideas, Bill

I don't know if it matters, but radiator was replaced in last year and when you throw the control **** from hot to cold on dash you can hear the door under dash moving, so I am pretty sure it is not that. Can anyone tell me, the lines from the heater core run under distributor around the front of motor and behind the ac compressor. Is there some sort of water pump on the left side of motor that moves the antifreeze through the system? Thanks Bill
