Help, my dog chewed my keyboard cable.

My dog decided it would be fun to chew on my keyboard cable  , so I need to get a replacement for it. The keyboard I have is a $60 keyboard, so I would rather replace the cable then the keyboard itself.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cable? Ive seen extensions, but I need the actual cable itself. Thanks in advance. :D

I assume you have a PS2 (the connector, not the video game! :D)keyboard, yes? if yes, then you can simply buy any PS2 extension cable and splice the wires to your current keyboard.

It's all just wires, you just need to figure out which one connects to what ;)

Yes, its a PS/2 connector (usb extension). I would rather replace the entire cable, since splicing and connecting does give the best results. I would hate to be fighting the last boss on Jedi Knight 2, and my keyboard stops working!

If anyone knows a reputable company that sells the cables, please tell me. Ive found several online stores that sell the cables, but I wouldnt buy from them.

I remember a while back, when I was cleaning my keyboard I took the damn thing apart into small pieces. I cleaned it, and put it back together. How ever, I think that the cable that connects to the board inside the keyboard via a socket. So, if it is true, disconnect the old wire, buy a cheap ass ps2 keayboard (if it IS PS2). Open the new one, disconnect the wire and connect it to the old one. I think it should work.

If not get a 10 dolla soldering iron and use that when splicing.
