Squeaking suspension

I don't know if you can help but I have a 2008 petrol Mazda 3, that has developed a very loud squeak from the rear nearside suspension, I assume it is a dry bush. (It will squeak at stand still by rocking the car).My question, is any particular joint more likely than any other to develop a squeak? What is best lubricant to use to stop it?

check all the bushings - check for metal to metal contact where a bushing may have failed

any lube will do to let you know where the problem is... WD40, an oil can with 10W30. Ask an auto parts place, but the good stuff is super thick silicone or something, and that means you'd need to disassemble everything to put it in the locations that are rubbing.

another option, just search lubes http://www.polybushings.com/pages/bushinglube.html

It's also possible the shock itself is squeaking, I just had a coworker bring his car in for squeaking struts - i'd never heard of it til then.

Problem Solved!!!

Thanks for your help, but after extensive investigation it turned out to be the brakes, excessive brake dust. It was just impossible to locate where the squeak was coming from it was so high pitched! By painfully slow process of elimination:pat:

At least you were able to know the real cause. Normally it is due to a metal-to-metal contact because of lack of lubrication. I had mine really broken had to replace it. Just in cause you need replacement you could try visiting http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/ they offer good deals.
