Spark Plug cost?

It has just dawned on me that I am near needing to change my spark plugs and spark plug wires, its been a long long time, and I cant remember how much all that costs...

does anyone know roun about what 4 Sparkplugs and a wire kit cost??

Roddimus Prime December-16th-2005 01:12 AM

4 plugs appx $8
wires could be anywhere from $20-50. Just get the cheapest they have. Not worth sinking a lot of cash into a 92 protege. You woun't notice the difference in the more expensive wires.

Do i only need the 4 plugs for the 95 protege i have? Im considering getting iridium plugs also to see if there is a difference.

Roddimus Prime December-25th-2005 10:17 PM

there is no difference. Just buy the cheap copper plugs.

Copper plugs are the shiznit.
Platinums and iridiums are a waste of money.

the last plugs I put in my car were the NGK's. Im not sure what Kind they were..

So would Copper plugs work better than others?

1.8Ltr SOHC?

Sorry, Im a n00b when it comes to spark plugs...
I only know how to gap them..when it comes to knowing the differences.

*poof* Im confused

the condition of the plug is much more important than the TYPE of plug.

ghettopro December-31st-2005 03:38 PM

but I thought that tne NGK work better with proteges?

Roddimus Prime December-31st-2005 05:40 PM

the NGK is the OEM plug but you will notice no difference if you switch to a standard copper plug. I promise.
