Hi guys,
my 2004 mazda 3 engine just blown and I need a replecement; it is 2.3 L, with manual transmission.
I found it very dificult and expensive to get a used engine like this, but I have a few other options much cheaper:
- a 2004 mazda 3 - 2.0L or
- 2007 mazda 3 - 2.0L with better milleage or
- 2008 2.3 L

can any one of these engines fit in my car?
If you can advise about the differences between those engines, I will apreciate it.

what died on it? it may be able to be rebuilt depending on the damage.
The engines from 2004-2008 I think are pretty much identical, though since you had a 2.3 manual, you'd want the same thing so that the engine computer doesn't need to be changed (not sure what is needed for the auto trans sensors).
