Can anyone please help? I have a 2004 Mazda 3 S, and when I step on the Brake pedal The gear shifter should click and let me take the vehicle out of park? It's not clicking all of the time and seems to be gwtting worse everyday! i was told by by Mazda that it was the entire center console shift assembly? Which costs upwards of about 800.00 to 900.00 dollars! That's with labor for the installation of course. Well it has a bout 4 or 5 elctrical micro switches and sensors on it, so I thought that was a pretty good educated guess? I've since replaced it and still I have the same problem? I was told that the mazda Tech had already checked out to see if the brake switch was faulty. They said that it was ok. But, I don't think that they did test the brake switch? any hints as to where i should go from here??? Please help.....
