i have a problem, i have just bought an eonon touchscreen tv with bluetooth, im waiting for delivery. i already know i will loose part of the display (trip) but the problem i have is i have also bought a dvb-t digital freeviewbox for it. does anyone know or tried to fit somthing simular in as i have no idea where i an fit the freeview box (need to see the ir sensior). any help would be appriciated.

Do you have any pictures?
I was able to keep the trip computer... its a separated unit from the main, just program it with the info you want it to display, and as long as you dont unplug your car battery it will show the selected info, you have to make custom mounts for it, but its very easy with a metal sheet.

just cut 2 little rectangles ( copy the size of ones that are buit-in on your oem harness) and bolt them in the new harness.

as for the freeview box... its like a second screen?

if so, you can order on of these for the dashboard

How do I program the trip to keep everything?

The headunit I've bought (aint recived yet) is the same shape as current unit so direct replacment. Its a dvd/tv/bluetooth touchscreen so the freeview plugs directly in. Just looking for some where I can place it out way but with ir vissible. U got same car? And photos? I'm on working on few mods with it.

With the Eonon unit you can't keep everything with the DIS. Basically before disconnecting the OEM HU just set the LCD to display whatever you want it to display. When you disconnect the HU the LCD will continue to display whichever value you chose (clock, miles to empty, etc.). You won't be able to control the rest of it from the new stereo.

Now the MZ3A being sold by caradvanced.com does allow you to have full control of the DIS with the new HU.
