HID question.

Hey, I'm new here and trying to buy a Christmas present, I just wanted to make sure that I'm buying the correct part.

I have a 2012 mazda 3 with the projectors but non hids. I should be looking for H11 bulbs , right? Also, are these plug and play for these cars or are there special instructions I need to follow?

Thanks for the help!

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/

click link, fill out information, then get the exact size...fo-sho!

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Cat...hting/HID-Kits

Here's a link for a set of HIDs that are highly used in the Mazda 3 market...35w kits do not require additional equipment. The 55w kits require the relay harness
--I suggest the 35w in 5k. You'll get the whitest light possible. If you get the 55w, get it in 6k because it will produce the whitest light.

I tried that site and they don't have any listings for the 2012 model 3... Do you know if the 2011 uses the same size bulb? an H1?

That ddmtuning is really cheap! So long as the quality is there, which ones were you talking about there are about three on that page...

Sorry for being a noob, have only had the car about a week.

I cannot confirm, but I would assume they are the same. I have a 2011 Hatchback and I got H11s for the low beams and 9006 for fog lights. Installed with no problems.

They are cheap because they are being shipped directly from Hong Kong...

Oh yeah, don't worry about being a noob. We all had to start from nothing at one point in time. Just don't become an *** once you learn a lot and help those in need.

I'm pretty sure they're the same too, I mean the cars look pretty much identical ... The being shipped from Hong Kong is kinda scary because I was wanting them by christmas...

I'll try and help on things if I can.

I ordered them! Just really hope they will be here to put under the tree.. Should have ordered sooner...

Are there any special instructions for installing them or is it just plug and play?
