Turbo charging 2.3

I have a 07 mazda3 with the 2.3L and a 5 speed. Was wandering if I would need to do internal engine work to put boost on this motor or can I run stock internals? If I can use stock, what would be a good size turbo to run? I looked for another post before posting this, if there is another one sorry for the repost. Thanks for any information

Most guys just sell it for an MS3. You get a lot more than just the turbo with one of those and you can find a nice one for around 10-12gs.
That said, your car should be fine on stock internals as long as you don't go over 10psi or so and it's tuned well. Upgrade your fuel pump, 1st though.

Good luck!

COBB Tuning - Mazdaspeed Autotech High Volume Fuel Pump Upgrade Kit

The Mazdaspeed fuel pump is the weak link in the chain. Fortunately it's pretty easy to deal with.

No problem. Hit "new posts" at the top of this page and read my last post. I'll bet you can find a LOT more help/advice for your swap.
