Go to wal-Mart and get the HU removal tools... then just slide them in these slim holes thats between the HU and the Metal trim piece that holds the HU in place

What would a wiring harness run me at???

I found one at Autozone but its $23, and I think that's kinda steep for a wiring harness considering they sell ones at Walmart for domestics for $10...

Anywhere I can find a cheap wiring harness for a 95 protege?

all you need...

All you need is a couple short lengths of hanger wire, bent into u-shapes with the ends approximately 2 inches apart. There are little trim pieces on each side of the radio that pop out with a small knife or jeweler's screwdirver. Pop them out and you will see the holes you put your new radio pullers in. Push the wires into the hoes until they stop, but don't force them too hard. then ease the radio out. Should be a piece of cake if you are careful.

You can find wiring harness adapters at best buy, circuit city, k-mart, wal-mart, whatever. Just get the right ones. A good website to check out before starting is

www.installdr.com, they have wiring pinouts for the 95-98 proteges, plus images of the right harnesses. You might want to print the pages our before shopping to make sure you get the right stuff.

Check them out and get prepared!!

Good Luck!!

i paid 8-10 dollars on my wire harness. $23 is way steep! The shops get them for around 4 bucks, that is robbery to charge 5 times the price at cost!! Sales like that and more means some one is getting a hell of a commission on their pay check!
