P5 Autocrossers!!

I'm going to run my new P5 auto-xing starting next month. What are you doing for suspension mods, and what tire pressures are you running to find that neutral stance.

Also please indicate if you're still running the stock size and rubber.

Thanks!

As far as class, I'm running with the BMW car club of america. They call it G-Stock.

I'm running the stock Dunlop SP5000's I believe right now.

I'll definitely be running it exactly the way it is right now for at least the first auto-x

Cool, when you get there, tell them that the Protege 5 is in H-stock. Only the MP3 is in G-stock.

Other than that... if you intend to stay in "stock" class, get a good set of struts, and another set of 15 x 6" wheels and some Kumho V700s.
The P5 uses 16" wheels. Just nitpicking

16" is right, and the Kumho are the best was to go. there is better out there but for twice the price.

The way the CASC-ON regulations look for Solo 2 this year is the Protege 2.0L _should_ be in B/1 class ... the Protege 1.8L is B/2.

I can't believe they forgot to classify the Protege 2.0L though. Totally left out of the books, although they managed to put in the Mini Cooper and Cooper S !! wtf?

Anyway, I'm eyeing the Mazdaspeed struts and a catback exhaust (Brullen or Racing Beat probably). Stock class says you can't lower the car significantly though, so I'm not sure what to do about springs .. unless I could get away with the Racing Beat ones.

I'd love to get some 16x7 Volk TE-37's with Khumos but that's a little out of my pricerange right now, especially since I'm just starting out. Maybe in another season or two...
