that should be fine.....I should still have some if you tell me what you want I can set it aside for you until you can pay. what did you want? entire combo or bits and pieces?

just a couple questions. i have a first gen so will my knob still work? how much shorter is it than the stock shifter? and are the bushings the same as the ones wil (groharlem) was doing the group buy for?

the bushings are different. you CAN NOT use the bushings here for a first gen.

I dont think the stock knob will fit, it has threads that match the 3rd gen knobs, so I dont think its the same thread.

the shifter itself is pretty short, i have not seen one in a first gen, but there are some pics that nate0123 put up awhile back, in his 2002 pro sedan, i couldnt seem to find them, i think the search is messed up again. On my 2001 the shifter is roughly 3 inches shorter than stock.

so i would need the shifter and the knob then right?

Thanks for the PM giving me the heads up for this GP. Wife drove a Mazdaspeed Protege today and she really liked the shifter, and I told her I had thought about getting her a short shifter..

Anyway.. curious about the $100 shifter and bushing combo. Looking at the prices above, and your edit, if you buy the shifter and bushing combo you don't get a break at $105 (85+20) but if you buy the shifter and knob, you save $5? (105<85+25).

I'd be down like a clown (charlie b....b.....brown) at $100 for a shifter and bushing. Let me know, and the $ is just a paypal away.

I recieved the order from Karboy, I am on my way to ship them (the ones that i have recieved payment for) RIGHT NOW!

this shifter is the shiznito. i highly recommend it. even in the first gens. super easy installation, took about 40mins. i really like the shorter throws. it is 3inches shorter than the stock first gen shifter. now i gotta get a new shift boot, mine just looks goofy now.

probaly too late for a complete kit, right?? If not, just let me know. I am definitely in the market for one. God I love tax return time!!! So far this year I have put on my Eibachs, tinted, and done some painting. This is getting very addictive.

i've still got the bushings and the knobs here if you want them, but no on the shifters.

do you know of anyone who deals the kartboy stuff and ships to Canada??? I would be interested in a hard knob and the bushings, but I would want a shifter too.... I was looking at the TWM kit for $129, would anyone know if there is a lot of difference (pro/con) of either one??? TWM will ship to canada as well.

there are very few vendors that ship kartboy products to canada... I am very fortunate to come across this thread as I was looking for kb shifter bushings. THANKS JON!

I purchased the twm 1st gen shifter (not installed yet) directly from twm... I haven't tried a kb shifter so I can't say which is better. But I believe there has been a thread that compares the stock, twm and KB shifters... try a search.

hey all, here are two pics of the kartboy short shifter installed on a first gen pro. i used my stock knob, fits perfect. i cut the boot cuz it was just too tall, i know it may look ghetto, but it works for now.

By the way Jon, you are the man!! I haven't had time to install the shifter yet, but you were very prompt in dealing with this transaction. If anyone needs to buy something from Jon in the future, go for it!! I can't wait to put this thing on!

i may do it again, but since i have been unable to find homes for these last few knobs, i will have to wait for a fresh batch of demand to come in....i would have no problem with the shifters and bushings, but selling the whole schebang is the hard part, and thats the only way i can buy them.....so..maybe in a couple months i will set up another one, but in the meantime, the guys at kartboy are really cool....

and by the way, thanks for the props guys, it always makes me feel better to know that people appreciate the hard work i put into this! thanks guys :D
