this has been brought up before but i cant find it. my manual was stolen when my car was broken into. and i got two questions

1. How much oil does the 2.0l take (mp3) my old ZX2 took 4.5 quarts how much does the mazda 2.0l need

2. Does anybody have the part number the for the K&N or the mobil 1 oil filters.

i have 5 quarts of mobil 1 synthetic sitting in my trunk i just need to do an oil change, and manuals are still on back order. please help me out.

i'm sure whoever you buy your filters from should know what filter you need. As for how much oil, quarts? i don't know, but approx 3.5litres - just keep checking the dip stick!

i heard 3.5 from someone just wanted to check, and i found the filter on mobil.com they had the part number.

It is actually 3.7Quarts when replacing the filter.

thanx people, my dealership has ordered a replacement manual for me, but they said they are on back order right now.

The MAN- You might want to try reading the MANual on page 10-5 it is 3.5 Quarts without the filter (stupid for not changing the filter) and 3.7 Quarts with filter change If someone told you 3.9 they were trying to get away with dumping 4 Quarts into it and were just being lazy.

what is .3 of oil! it won't hurt the motor. when u come 2 my dealership u get 4! just use the v-6 filter a little longer, more filter 4 the money. but i do like mobile 1 5w/30 synthetic (since 1000 on odo) got 8000 now
