Question Cruise Control

I was wondering if any of you have installed Aftermarket cruise control on your 3rd gen Pro's. I have a 99 DX and I was thinking about getting cruise for it..The Mazda kit is $378. I also was wondering if the car was already wired for cruise..I have several wires under the hood that do not go to anything. Anyway, any info on this would be helpful.

Thanks,
Barry

cruise

I've never installed a cruise on a Protege. I have installed two different types of aftermarket cruises. One on my dad's F-150, one a Dodge Shadow ES, and 2 on my '89 Mercury Tracer. My '01 Protege came w/Cruise. From my experience Audiovox makes a great cruise that you can install on about anything in a few hrs. When I got it, it was on special from JC Whitney for about $70. I just went to their site and they still have it, but it is $114.39. It is still a lot cheaper than the one Mazda is offering. Looks like about 1 speeding ticket to me. I recommend doing it, it is really nice!
