Angry Need a new key!

Any of you guys know where i can order an uncut key for my 98 protege. The previous owner only gave me the stupid duplicate keys he made at the hardware store. If i can't find an original anything else nice would help. I checked ebay and couldn't find anything. Please help. Thnx

You may be able to get a blank at the dealership. They may even have the ability to punch it for you (not cut).

I haven't tried it with my Mazda, but when I had my Escort, i had the dealer actually punch a key that was a dead match for the original.

If you are the original owner, you should have a tag or peice of paper with the 'code' of the key.... a listing of numbers for the lock pin sizes.

Arrow Gonna check out the dealer.

Gonna check out the dealer, Thnx for the input. I am not the original owner but i am hoping that they can maybe punch the key from the serial number. I will let ya know. But i saw a nice website with uncut keys that are pretty sweet, but the only problem is that the guy only sells them bulk (http://www.worldlocksmith.com/keyblanks/index.html)
Too bad.
n-e-ways thnx

$42.79?!? That's crazy! I wonder if you could have provided a blank to a locksmith and had him punch it.
