Exclamation 1988 323 squeal!

Ive tried many belts. Ive tried tight, loose, super tight, and super loose. It just will not stop squealing. The belt gets really hot and melts off if I leave it running. The alternator and water pump spin smoothly. It runs fine with no belt. I just dont understand. If anybody has any insight i would greatly appreciate it. My transmission in my ford explorer nuked all over the road and I have to get to work tomorrow.
